The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association and Crocker are proud to announce the Academy for Future Coaches 2026 application. Both the CRCA and Croker are committed to investing in the future of collegiate rowing by growing and developing future coaches and leaders. The vision of the program is to grow and develop future coaches and leaders by empowering student-athletes to take the first step into a coaching career. The academy will help give them the necessary tools to have a successful transition from athlete to coach.
The Academy of Future Coaches Presented by Croker will provide a virtual leadership and coaching development experience for current student-athletes interested in pursuing a career in coaching. The 7-week sessions will dive into recruiting, professional development, team management, rigging, and more.
The 7-week virtual conference that begins on July 1st and concludes on August 12th. Each weekly session will be 90′. There will be one session per week on Wednesdays. Applications are due on June 17th, and the cohort will be announced on June 22nd. The Academy of Future Coaches is of no cost to attendees and is open to any rowing athlete from CRCA programs who exhausted their eligibility in 2026 and those with one year or less remaining of eligibility.
Participants are expected to attend all weekly sessions and complete a brief assignment following each session. Participants that complete the academy will be eligible for a discount towards their USRowing Level 2 Coaching Certification.
