2012 DI Regional Coaches of the Year

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association is pleased to announce the winners of its Regional Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year Awards. The Coach of the Year Award is intended to recognize a head coach that fits one or more of the following criteria: Outstanding success during the current season, demonstrated great team improvement from the prior season, fulfilled team’s potential and demonstrated a high level of professionalism and integrity as a coach.

The Assistant Coach of the Year award is designed to recognize an assistant coach or associate head coach who meets one or more of the following criteria: Outstanding commitment to his/her program, made a significant impact on the success of his/her program and demonstrated a high level of professionalism and integrity as a coach.

Below are the names of the winners of the CRCA Regional Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year Awards:

Central

Head Coach: Mark Rothstein, University of Michigan
Assistant Coach: Megan Cooke-Carcagno, University of Wisconsin

Mid-Atlantic

Head Coach: Hilary Gehman, Cornell University
Assistant Coach: Dan Wolleben, Bucknell University

New England

Head Coach: Liz O’Leary, Harvard University
Assistant Coach: Jessica Lizzi, University of Rhode Island

South

Head Coach: Kevin Sauer, University of Virginia
Assistant Coach: Jim Lister, Duke University

West

Head Coach: Dave O’Neill, University of California, Berkeley
Assistant Coach: Lincoln LaRoe, University of California, Berkeley
