Agenda

1.Committee Updates:

Goal: Have 1 committee meeting before the all-membership mtg, so we can provide update on all areas.  

1. Cont. Education: ( Proposals- SR will send out in email form)

2. Strategic Planning: Will follow up with Meg

3. Membership – open now through Jan 15. ( If people want USR membership- need to do it before Nov 30 – @Sheila will send email to remind them) Jules is honoring our $15 agreement for coaches package, despite changes to USRowing’s membership fee structure increases
   1. Currently 14 programs have registered. Will need help to push renewals this next month. 
   2. ~Legal Advising: For our membership, what are the main areas/focus that they would want assistance in? 

4. Lightweight– Lori will suggest they meet as a lightweight group, and report to her 

5. Sponsorship – need to REVISIT ( @Jamie- try to reach out to Luke again?)
   1. Pocock’s Contract  Ended July 1st, 2021
   2. ARI contract is 1 year, Ends the calendar year. – They get  time in front of members at DEC meeting
   3. @Sheila- working on a Presentation Book to provide sponsors-  may need help with ideas to provide them with. 

2. Tax Status– As 501c4, they cant write off as tax deduction until we reclassify.

SR Working through tax issues- spoke with an accountant yesterday- proposed starting a new 501c3 alongside the CRCA, for our fundraising purposes.  $3k to take care of all the startups and 1 year of guidance. 

Calling others this week for 2nd opinions, also trying to work with BizFilings- who we started CRCA with in 2000.Also working to make sure we are in compliance with DE and will send out a copy of updated Bylaws for membership meeting approval. 

3.. USRowing – Suggestions for nominating another college coach on the USR Board? (Deadline Nov 21)

Can someone talk with Kevin about this?   ( his timeline / regional or at large) 

WORK with IRCA to try to have 1 men’s coach and 1 women’s coach on the board
